Goa – A Journey and Reminiscence.
This is a preview; and the opening passages from the book.
Preface
To a number of tourists Goa is a land of golden beaches dotting the western coastline of a tiny state of a great civilization called ‘India’.
To the religious minded people Goa is a place of ultimate faith with reminiscences of the oldest magnificent churches existing in the country. To Indian pilgrims Goa is a cluster of unique temples preserved with ultimate care by a religious society to perform their rites even in this twenty-first century.
Goa is a lot of Mediterranian and Konkani culture blended uniformly and preserved carefully by a community of peace loving people.
But to me, Goa is a land of peace soaked in monsoon rains;
Goa is a land of fulfillment inhabited by a population of contended people.
Goa hypnotizes one and all with its tranquility and serenity.
Goa is like moonlight traversing through foliage deep into your mind.A journey through Goa is an unforgettable experience.
Chapter I
Goa : A Journey and Reminiscence
Goa, the narrow stretch of land on the western coast of India has become the destination of a large number of nature lovers and solitude seekers in the recent time. The magnificent golden beaches dotting over a hundred kilometers of coastline have been the main centre of attraction. The soothing greenery of the state and the warm hospitality of the people have made everybody comfortable in this natural heaven of India.
Goa may be one of the tiniest states of the Union, but certainly it can be termed as the most fascinating part of this unique country called ‘India’. Here a multitude of culture blended due to historical compulsion and each of them left its discernable imprint which is very much detectable. A long duration of Portuguese rule and their deliberate and desperate attempt to completely change the culture of local population has made this state of India a totally different state of the country in every sense.
Goa is a heaven for the nature lovers, sports enthusiasts, adventurers, peace lovers and solitude seekers. It is a veritable paradise for the archaeologists, historians and social scientists as well.
There is something in the air of Goa along with the aroma of cashew and there is something in the atmosphere in Goa along with the sea wind – that soothe your soul and tranquilizes your mind. It helps you to enjoy your journey through the land of happiness. It helps you to achieve a mental state close to Nirvana.
If there is a land of peace any where on earth- it is here, it is here, it is here in ‘Goa’.

I do have 2 questions for you if you tend not to mind. Is it just me or do some of the remarks look like left by brain dead individuals?
And, if you are writing at other sites, I’d like to follow everything fresh you have to post. Would you make a list every one of your public pages like your twitter feed, Facebook page or linkedin profile?
